Closer2Home is an intensive home treatment service delivered through a multi-disciplinary team made up of Consultant Psychiatrists, Mental Health Practitioners, Community Adolescent Senior Support Workers, Peer Support Workers and Trainee Nurse Associates.

The service is run by Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust, Solent NHS Trust and Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, with each trust providing a Closer2Home team for their local area.

Our team are highly trained to equip them with a range of skills and expertise to support the children and young people who are referred to the service. This includes training in:

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Autism
  • Eating Disorders
